Caprese Chicken

Mamma Mia! It’s time for another Dantastic Italian inspired dish with our fresh caprese chicken. This is kinda like our chicken cordon bleu where you’re butterflying the chicken and then rolling up the ingredients in it before baking. This is such a fun dish, and really screams to Summer flavor as we slowly inch into Fall. We recommend serving up caprese chicken with our Tiktok famous parmesan crusted potatoes and fried portabella mushrooms.
What is Caprese?
Caprese is just a simple Italian salad made up of 4 ingredients: Fresh mozzarella, a fresh tomato, some basil leaves, and extra virgin olive oil. It's a masterclass in flavor composition with creamy mozzarella mixing with the tomato’s light acidity and the sweet relief of basil tossed with that smooth olive oil. The most important part about caprese chicken, and really just caprese in general, is that everything has to be fresh. A new ball of mozzarella with basil and plump ripe tomato straight from the garden.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning
- 2 handfuls of fresh basil
- 1 sliced roma tomato
- 2 handfuls shredded mozzarella cheese
- Dan-O’s Cheesoning Seasoning
- Olive Oil
Preparation Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 400° F.
- Butterfly your chicken, and coat in Dan-O’s Spicy.
- Place fresh basil, sliced roma tomato, mozzarella cheese in butterflied chicken.
- Roll up and tie with twine if need be then place in a baking dish.
- Coat with Olive Oil and Dan-O’s Cheesoning Seasoning.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Cut and enjoy.

Delicious and easy to make!!
Made Caprese Chicken and followed DanO’s recipe and it was great. My wife and daughter really liked it. This was my first time using Dan-O’s and I will definitely use it again.
