Ingredients

  • 1 packet Dan-O’s Dips French Onion
  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning
  • 1 pound ground turkey or beef
  • 1/4 cup ketchup, plus 2 tablespoons for topping
  • 1/3 cup quick rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 cup grated zucchini, squeezed well
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 8 oz Mushrooms - diced

Preparation Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and Dan-O’s Dips French Onion. Let it sit for a minute so that dip can soak up some moisture and get extra flavorful.
  2. Cook the Veggies: Heat a little oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the onion, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and cook—stirring occasionally—until softened, about 5 minutes. Toss in the mushrooms and cook another 5 minutes until everything’s tender and smelling amazing.
  3. In a medium bowl, add: Ground turkey, Oats, Zucchini, ¼ cup ketchup, cooked mushrooms & onions, egg and Dan-O’s Dips French Onion mixture, and Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning. Mix it up with your hands until everything’s well combined.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and gently flatten them. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter if you’re feeling festive, or just freehand it. Shape them before cooking so you don’t have to cut the edges to shape them after.
  5. Place 1–2 hearts in the air fryer basket, depending on how much room it has. Air fry at 350°F for 10 minutes, then flip, brush with the remaining ketchup, and cook another 5 minutes. Be careful handling them so they don’t fall apart on ya! They’re done when the centers are cooked through and hit an internal temp of 165°F.
  6. Serve ’emwith some more ketchup brushed. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
