Ingredients

For Salsa:

  • 1 tbsp Dan-O's Crunchy
  • 1/4 tsp Dan-O's Chipotle
  • 1/2 firm pear, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 Chopped Red Onion
  • Handful Fresh Cilantro
  • 1 Medium mango, peeled and chopped
  • 1-2 tsp peeled, chopped gingerroot
  • 1/2 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

For the Tuna:

  • 2 tsp Olive oil
  • 1-2 Tuna Steaks (Yellowfin Tuna Loin used here)

Preparation Instructions

  1. In bowl, stir together salsa ingredients and set aside
  2. Rinse tuna and pat dry with paper towels
  3. Sprinkle tuna with Dan-O's Crunchy and Chipotle and pat into the skin
  4. In large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat, swirling to coat the bottom of pan
  5. Cook tuna for 4 minutes on each ide, or until it flakes easily with a fork and cooked as desired
  6. Plate with salsa on top
