Ingredients

  • Dan-O's Original Seasoning
  • Dan-O's Spicy Seasoning
  • 1 whole chicken
  • Chick-fil-A sauce

Preparation Instructions

Prep the Chicken:

  • Remove the spine from the chicken to spatchcock it.

Season the Chicken:

  • On the bone side of the chicken, use Chic-fil-A sauce as a binder and coat thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle generously with Dan-O's Original and Dan-O's Spicy Seasoning.
  • Flip the chicken over and repeat the process on the skin side.

Smoke the Chicken:

  • Preheat your smoker to 300ºF.
  • Place the chicken in the smoker and cook for 1.5 hours.

Finish the Chicken:

  • Increase the smoker's temperature to 400ºF.
  • Continue to smoke the chicken for an additional 30 minutes.

Serve:

  • Remove the chicken from the smoker.
