Bloody Mary Pizza

Bloody Mary Pizza

Flavors Used:

This one right here is a little wild, but that’s how we do it, the Dan-O’s way. I took everything I love about a bold Bloody Mary: the peppers, the tang, the spice, and turned it into a pizza. We’re marinating chicken in my Dan-O’s Outlaw Blackened Bloody Mary and Bloody Mary mix, baking up some pickles for that salty bite, and finishing it all on a cast-iron pizza with a creamy Bloody Mary sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Dan-O’s Outlaw Blackened Bloody Mary
  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Outlaw Butter Dust
  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Red Pepper Cheesoning
  • 2 chicken breasts, butterflied and cut in half
  • 14 oz Bloody Mary mix
  • 12 oz whipped cream cheese
  • 1 fresh pizza dough ball
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Cooking oil
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese
  • ½ jar pickles

Preparation Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Butterfly the chicken breasts and cut them in half. Place the chicken into a container with 12 oz Bloody Mary mix. Season with 3 tbsp Dan-O’s Outlaw Blackened Bloody Mary seasoning. Mix until the chicken is fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for 3–4 hours.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Remove the pizza dough from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour. Lightly coat the dough ball in all-purpose flour to make it easier to stretch.
  3. Cook the Chicken and Pickles: Preheat oven to 400°F. Remove chicken from marinade. Place the chicken and pickles on a baking tray. Bake until the chicken is cooked through, and the pickles dry slightly.
  4. Make the Bloody Mary Cream Sauce: In a bowl, combine 12 oz whipped cream cheese with the remaining Bloody Mary mix. Stir until the texture reaches a pizza-sauce or marinara-like consistency.
  5. Build the Pizza: Oil a large cast-iron pan with a thin coating of oil. Sprinkle the pan with Dan-O’s Outlaw Butter Dust. Add a layer of 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Red Pepper Cheesoning. Stretch the pizza dough and place it into the pan. Spread half of the Bloody Mary cream sauce over the dough. Chop the cooked pickles and scatter them over the sauce. Slice the cooked chicken and place it across the pizza. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top. Finish with the remaining Dan-O’s Red Pepper Cheesoning and Dan-O’s Outlaw Blackened Bloody Mary seasoning.
  6. Start the Pizza on the Stove: Place the cast-iron pan on the stove over high heat. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the edges begin to bubble.
  7. Finish in the Oven: Transfer the pan to the 400°F oven. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Rest and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice and serve. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
