The right mustard for the job
In my opinion, the greatest companion to ham is a good mustard. Something about the sweetness of a honey baked ham combined with the bitter tangness of the mustard is just mouthwatering. However, not all mustards are created equal. Let’s break down the best mustard for the job.
The most common and basic mustard is just traditional yellow. It’s simple with a clean and sharp flavor. Spicing it up, we have spicy brown mustard. This mustard is made from brown mustard seeds and offers a little more heat and texture in every bite. You also have dijon mustard which is a more robust and pungent mustard that is great for these honey ham sliders. At the end of the day the mustard you choose is up to personal preference, but for my tastes I prefer a dijon for these honey ham sliders!
