Who doesn’t love salsa? Take it to the next level with this Perfect Chili Lime Salsa recipe! You don’t have to add as much seasoning as I do, but I just can’t get enough of that chili lime flavor. The fresh ingredients in this salsa make it a perfect pairing with tortilla chips, or you can elevate your huevos rancheros with a scoop of it. It also adds a delightful touch to your rice and beans!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Chili Lime
  • 5 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • 1/4 bushel of cilantro, diced (stems and leaves)
  • Juice of 2 limes (with some pulp)

Preparation Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced Roma tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. Add Lime Juice. Squeeze the juice of the 2 limes over the mixture, ensuring to include some of the pulp for extra flavor.
  2. Sprinkle generously with Dan-O’s Chili Lime over the salsa mixture and gently mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined.
  3. Pat the top of the salsa mixture to level it out. This step helps the flavors meld together. Allow the salsa to sit for 10 minutes at room temperature. This waiting time helps enhance the flavors.
  4. After 10 minutes, give the salsa another gentle stir and serve it with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a topping for your favorite dishes!
