Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Dan-O’s Outlaw Butter Steak
  • 2 tsp Dan-O’s Outlaw Butter Dust
  • Sprinkle of Dan-O’s Chipotle Seasoning (optional)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 4 slices of croissant bread
  • 2 cups grated cheese: Use your favorite, but Cheddar, Mozzarella, and Gruyere work well

Preparation Instructions

  1. First things first—melt that butter. Then stir in the Dan-O’s Outlaw Butter Steak and Outlaw Butter Dust. Give it a good mix and set that flavor bomb aside for a minute.
  2. Next up, grab your cheese and shred it like you mean it. Toss it in a bowl and mix it together. If you’re feeling a little adventurous, sprinkle in some Dan-O’s Chipotle Seasoning for a smoky kick that’ll make this grilled cheese extra bold.
  3. Now let’s build them! Lay out your bread slices and pile that cheesy goodness onto half of them. Top them with the remaining slices to make some proper sandwiches.
  4. Grab that Outlaw butter you made earlier and brush the outside of the bread generously. The more buttery flavor, the better the crust.
  5. Heat up a large pan, skillet, or griddle over medium heat and place the sandwiches butter-side down. If you want the cheese to melt like a dream, pop a lid on the pan for a few minutes. Let them cook for about 3–4 minutes until the bottom gets golden and crispy, watch closely so they don’t burn.
  6. While that side cooks, brush the top side with the rest of your seasoned butter. Then carefully flip those bad boys and cook another 3–4 minutes until both sides are beautifully golden brown and the cheese inside is fully melted and gooey.
  7. Pull them off the pan, let them rest for about a minute (trust me, it’s worth it), then slice them up and dig in while they’re hot and melty. Pairs perfectly with some tomato soup!
