Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Dan-O's Original Seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp Dan-O's Preem-O Seasoning
  • 1 medium potato, peeled and cubed
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • ⅓ clove garlic, chopped
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 (15 oz) package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Preparation Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
    2. In a saucepan, add potato with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
    3. Drain, mash, and set aside.
    4. In a large saucepan add 2 tbsp oil, ground beef and pork and break meat apart. Stir in the onion, garlic and mushrooms. Add Dan-O's then stir in the water. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until meat is evenly browned.
    5. Remove from the heat and mix in mashed potato.
    6. Gently place one pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate. Fill with meat mixture, then top with the remaining pie crust.
    7. Trim any excess dough, then crimp the edges with the tines of a fork to seal.
    8. Prick the top crust a few times with a knife to vent the steam. Cover the edges of the crust with aluminum foil.
    9. Bake until the crust is browned, about 25 minutes.
