Savory Sausage Breakfast Pie
Pie for breakfast? Not a far fetched idea with this sausage crust breakfast pie! Savory breakfast sausage as the crust with fresh crisp vegetables mixed with ricotta and egg to make a mouthwatering filling. This is a great meal prep item to start the week, easily offering up enough for several breakfasts worth. It also makes for a great dinner if you’re in the mood for a cheesy savory dish. We used Dan-O’s Original but you could try it with Dan-O’s Spicy for a kick of heat, or a Chipotle for a smoky midwest feel. A personal favorite is Dan-O’s Crunchy which offers some crunch to the munch!
Ingredients
- 9 Eggs
- 1 lb Sausage
- Roma tomatoes
- Jalapenos
- ¼ cup red onion
- 3 oz fresh spinach
- 8 oz ricotta cheese
- Dan-O’s Original

Instructions
- Place the sausage into a pie dish and press into the dish. Spread thinly. In a bowl
- Whisk the eggs, and then add diced up roma, jalapeno, onion, spinach and ricotta cheese. Mix thoroughly together.
- Pour the egg mixture into the dish on top of the sausage.
- Bake at 400 until lightly golden brown on top, about 30-35 minutes.
- Enjoy!
