If creamy, zesty, and just the right amount of Cajun kick had a party, this pasta would be the guest of honor. We’re talkin’ tender, juicy chicken, bold Dan-O’s Cajun flavor, and a rich, ranchy sauce that hugs every bite of pasta. It’s easy, it’s craveable, and yeah…it’s got that Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!® energy built right in.
Ingredients
- 6 tsp Dan-O’s Cajun Seasoning
- 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Dips Ranch
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 3 tbsp salted butter
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 yellow onion sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 12 oz box of bow tie pasta
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cups milk
- 2 ounces cream cheese, room temp
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups water
Preparation Instructions
- First things first—Mix up the buttermilk with 1 tbsp of Dan-O’s Dips Ranch, give it a quick stir, and set it aside.
- Now grab a skillet, crank it to medium-high, and melt that butter down. Toss in your chicken and hit both sides with a generous shake of Dan-O’s Cajun. Cook it up until it’s juicy and done, then pull it off, let it rest, and chop it into bite-sized goodness.
- Time to build that flavor base. In a big ol’ pot over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of butter and throw in your onions. Let ‘em soften up, then add the red pepper, garlic, and another hit of Dan-O’s Cajun seasoning. Stir it up and let those veggies get nice and tender.
- Add your pasta, parsley, and 2 cups of water. Give it a stir, then pour in just enough extra water to cover the pasta. Let it simmer, stirrin’ often, until it’s perfectly al dente (about 10 minutes or so).
- Now we make it creamy. Stir in the milk, cream cheese, a couple more teaspoons of Dan-O’s Cajun, and that parmesan. Mix it ‘til it’s smooth.
- Slide that chopped chicken back in, give it a gentle mix, and boom—you’re ready to roll.
- Serve it up hot with a sprinkle of fresh parmesan and parsley on top. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
