It’s creamy, crunchy, bright, and loaded with fresh veggies, good tuna, Dan-O’s Dill Dip, and Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning for that real lemon, real pepper flavor. Whether you’re making it for Derby, a cookout, a tailgate, or your next party tray, this appetizer is easy, fresh, and 100% Dan-O-Myte!

Ingredients

  • ½ packet Dan-O’s Dips Dill
  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning
  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced into thin pieces
  • 4 cans tuna, drained
  • ½ jar dill pickle slices, diced
  • 3 green onions, diced
  • 3 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

Preparation Instructions

  1. Toast the French Bread: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Slice the French bread into thin pieces and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until crisp and lightly golden.
  2. Prepare the Tuna: Drain the tuna and add it to a large mixing bowl. Break up the large chunks slightly, keeping some texture.
  3. Dice the Vegetables: Dice the dill pickles, green onions, celery, and red bell pepper. Add all of the diced vegetables to the bowl with the tuna.
  4. Mix the Tuna Dip: Add the lemon juice, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Dan-O’s Dill Dip Seasoning, and Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning. Mix until everything is fully combined and creamy.
  5. Assemble the Crostini: Arrange the toasted bread slices on a serving tray. Spoon the tuna dip onto each crostini, serve it up, and Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
