This Chicken salad recipe is all about keepin’ things cool, creamy, and full of that fresh dill flavor. We’re makin’ a simple chicken salad that comes together easy, whether you’re usin’ leftover chicken or startin’ from scratch. It’s got a smooth, tangy dressing, a little crunch from the veggies, and just enough time in the fridge to let everything come together the right way. This is a solid go-to recipe — great on a croissant, with crackers, or however you like to serve it.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Dan-O’s Dips Dill
  • 1 - 2 cooked chicken breasts, chopped or shredded
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or more if you like it creamier
  • ½ cup finely chopped celery
  • ½ cup diced green onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Fresh dill - optional
  • Bread, wraps, or croissants for serving

Preparation Instructions

  1. First up, prep that chicken. If you’re usin’ leftover or rotisserie chicken, just chop it up or shred it into nice bite-sized pieces. Set it to the side and let it wait its turn. If you need to cook it, then cut it into cubes, sprinkle some Dan-O’s Dips Dill all over it, keeping some for later, and cook in a skillet on medium heat until the internal temperature is 165°F. Set aside and let cool down.
  2. Now grab yourself a big bowl and let’s make the dressing. Go in with the Greek yogurt, fresh lemon juice, and the rest of the Dan-O’s Dips Dill. Mix it up until it’s smooth and creamy.
  3. Next, toss in the chopped onion, celery, and that chicken. Gently stir it all together until everything’s coated and lookin’ happy. Don’t mash it — just bring it together
  4. Cover it up and pop it into the fridge for about 30 minutes. Let those flavors get to know each other well.
  5. Remove from the fridge and stir it up before serving on a croissant or crackers, or however you like it! Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
