Tater Tot Casserole? This was a new one for me, or maybe I’ve been under a rock, but you know this is gonna be Dan good with some Dan-O’s! Loaded with ground beef, creamy sauce, and melted cheese, topped with crispy tater tots. This Tater Tot Casserole recipe is easy to make and perfect for family dinners and potlucks! Serve this tater tot casserole with Dan’s Famous Green Beans for a complete meal that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Dan-O's Original Seasoning (Spicy or Tac-O would also be Dantastic)
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can peas, drained
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish.
  3. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in 2-3 tbsp Dan-O's Original Seasoning. Add onions to skillet, mix and cook about 5 mins.
  5. Mix in the can of soup and peas.
  6. Spread mixture into baking dish and sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Layer tater tots evenly on top, sprinkle with more cheese or Dan-O's Tac-O if desired.
  8. Bake 30-40 mins until the tater tots are golden brown.

  1. Canned peas…gross. I use fresh or frozen peas instead, makes for better flavor as well as better texture. Love these recipes.
