These are unlike any green beans you’ve had before, these are full of rich flavor from the ginger garlic paste, soy sauce, and Dan-O’s Crunchy. We love these famous green beans by themselves but they’re even better with our fried catfish sandwich. These will only take you about 10 minutes to make, which makes them a great last minute side item! Dan-O’s Crunchy gives some satisfying texture and flavor to round the experience out. Go ahead and try Dan’s famous green beans for your family because they’re bound to be a household favorite.

Ingredients

  • 32 oz fresh green beans
  • 32 oz chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ⅛ tsp sesame oil
  • Dan-O’s Original and Crunchy Seasonings

Preparation Instructions

  1. In a pot boil green beans and chicken stock for 5 minutes
  2. Remove, strain, and add to a large bowl
  3. Add garlic and ginger paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, a few Pop-Pops of Dan-O's Original and a generous sprinkle of Dan-O’s Crunchy
  4. Mix together and place in a serving dish and sprinkle with more Dan-O's Crunchy.

    1. It’s a rough unit of measurement based on the action of squeezing the bottle and Pop-Popping out some seasoning!

  1. I made these green beans, they were delicious. I am going to try them on a some white rice next.

  2. I thought in the video he used the green top Dan-o’s and then used the crunchy??? Please update the recipe to include amount.

    1. Recipe updated, he does use both Original and Crunchy. Dan doesn’t always use measurements of Dan-O’s, so I would suggest you start with a generous sprinkle and add more to taste.
