These wings are flavor rich! They combine a wonderful blend of flavors. They are sweet, spicy, and uses Dan-O’s Chipotle for a smoky kick. You have to give them a try!
Ingredients
For the wings:
3 pounds chicken wings, drumettes, and flats separated, tips discarded
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 teaspoon Dan-O’s Chipotle Seasoning
1 ½ teaspoons salt
Cooking Spray
For the Hot Honey:
1 cup honey
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons hot sauce
2-3 teaspoons Dan-O’s Chipotle Seasoning
¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Preparation Instructions
For the Hot Honey:
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir to combine and heat until the mixture comes to a simmer.
Turn down the heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring regularly. Remove from the heat. (Be sure to watch this closely, since it has the tendency to boil over.)
For the Wings:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Pat dry the wings with paper towels.
Add cornstarch, Dan-O’s Seasoning, salt, and pepper to a large mixing bowl and mix together. Add the wings and toss to coat.
Arrange a single layer of wings on a parchment-lined baking sheet. And spritz with cooking spray.
Bake the wings on the middle rack for 30 minutes, then turn the wings over and cook 15-20 more minutes, until they’re crispy and golden the way you like them. Use a meat thermometer to make sure the temp reaches at least 165F.
While they’re baking make the Hot Honey.
Remove the wings from the oven, and toss with Hot Honey. Enjoy!
