Ingredients
- Dan-O’s Cheesoning
- 1 pound cooked chicken (shredded or cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 16 oz box penne pasta
- 40 oz marinara sauce
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced thin
- 1/2 cup shredded or grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Panko or regular bread crumbs
- 2–4 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)
Preparation Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease an 9x12 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Cook the pasta and rinse and drain.
- In a large bowl, mix together the pasta, chicken, marinara sauce, cheese and 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Cheesoning® and a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour into the baking pan, spreading out evenly.
- In a small bowl, stir together the breadcrumbs, fresh parsley and 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Cheesoning®.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumbs mixture over the top of pasta and chicken. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden on top.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle more cheese on top. Bake another 5-10 mins until cheese is melted.
