Flavors Used:

Ingredients

  • 1 Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Spicy
  • 1 Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Mild
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 diced yellow onion
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 30 ounces canned crushed fire-roasted tomato sauce
  • 15 ounces canned pinto beans, drained
  • 15 ounces canned black beans, drained
  • 15 oz Mexican-style street corn
  • Tortilla strips
  • Sour cream
  • Green onions
  • Cilantro
  • Avocado
  • Red onion, diced, optional for topping

Let’s Make It!

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and drizzle in the olive oil. Add the diced onions and sauté for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they're soft, fragrant, and starting to turn golden.
  2. Add the ground turkey and a generous sprinkle of Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Mild and Spicy. Cook, breaking up the meat with a meat chopper or wooden spoon, until the turkey is browned and fully cooked.
  3. Stir in any remaining Tac-O Seasoning, beans, diced tomatoes, corn, and tomato sauce. Give everything a good stir until all those delicious ingredients are combined.
  4. Cover the pot, reduce the heat to medium-low, and let the chili simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Got some extra time? Let it simmer a little longer to bring all those savory, taco-inspired flavors together.
  5. Ladle the warm Turkey Taco Chili into bowls and load it up with crispy tortilla strips and your favorite taco toppings. Think shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, jalapeños, fresh cilantro, or a squeeze of lime!
  6. Grab a spoon and dig into this hearty, flavor-packed chili! Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
