Ingredients
1 packet Dan-O’s Dips Mexi-Ranch
1 lb ground chicken
1/2 cup basmati rice
1 cup water
1/2 cup shredded Mexican-blend cheese
Preparation Instructions
Cook the Chicken: Add the ground chicken to a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for 7 to 10 minutes, flipping and breaking the chicken into small pieces as it cooks, until it is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Leave any remaining moisture in the skillet.
Add the Seasoning and Rice: Add the Dan-O’s Dips Mexi-Ranch to the cooked chicken, followed by the basmati rice and water. Gently stir until everything is evenly combined, then continue cooking over medium-high heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
Cover and Simmer: Once the mixture reaches a boil, cover the skillet with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
Divide the Meal Prep: Remove the skillet from the heat and divide the chicken and rice evenly between two bowls or meal-prep containers.
Add the Cheese and Serve: Sprinkle the shredded Mexican-blend cheese over the hot chicken and rice. Stir gently until the cheese begins to melt, then Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
