This Caesar Pasta Salad with chicken is the ultimate mashup of creamy, crunchy, and downright craveable. Tossed in a bold, homemade Caesar-style dressing powered by Dan-O’s SPG Tri-O and a hit of Crunchy seasoning, this easy pasta salad recipe brings big flavor to every bite. Perfect for cookouts, meal prep, or a next-level side dish, it’s loaded with tender chicken, crisp lettuce, and savory parmesan—basically everything you love about Caesar salad, turned all the way up.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Dan-O’s SPG Tri-O (Salt, Pepper, Garlic) Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Crunchy Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp capers, drained and chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups mayo
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 16 oz. medium shell pasta (1 box)
  • 3 cups diced, cooked chicken
  • 3 cups sliced romaine lettuce (about 1 heart)
  • 2 cups croutons
  • 1 cup shaved parmesan, plus more to serve
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking chicken (if not already cooked)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Start by bringing a big ol’ pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. While that’s heating up, grab a large bowl and build that flavor-packed dressing. Whisk together oil, capers, lemon juice, mustard, and Dan-O’s SPG Tri-O until it’s smooth. Then mix in the mayo, milk, grated parmesan, and the Dan-O’s Crunchy. Whisk it all together till it’s smooth.
  3. Next up, cook your chicken till it’s juicy and cooked through. Sprinkle the chicken with either Dan-O’s Crunchy or SPG Tri-O, or both! Chop it into bite-sized pieces and let it cool down.
  4. Drop your pasta into that boiling water and cook it just a minute longer than the package says. Drain it, rinse it with cold water, and let it cool off.
  5. Now it’s time to bring it all together. Toss that cooled pasta into your bowl of dressing and mix it up real nice so every piece gets coated in that creamy goodness. Add in your chicken, crisp lettuce, croutons, parsley, and shaved parmesan. Fold it all together gently—don’t mash it, just mix it with love.
  6. Serve it up right away with a little extra shaved parm on top.
  7. Pro tip: If you’re makin’ this ahead of time, hold off on the croutons and lettuce—they’ll get soggy. Toss ‘em in right before serving for that perfect crunch. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
