Prep Turmeric Ginger Marinade
- Start by deskinning both your turmeric root and ginger, chop up both and put in the blender
- Chop up green onion and put in blender
- Squeeze 2 limes into the blender
- Put half a bushel of cilantro, about an ounce of fresh garlic, 1/2 tbsp pepper, 1/4 cup honey, 1/2 cup extra virgin olive and 2 oz of Dan-O's Original Seasoning into blender
- Blend until it turns into a smooth consistency
- Cut chicken breasts into strips
- Put both the cut chicken breasts and the marinade in a freezer bag and work into chicken thoroughly
- Let sit in fridge for at least 24 hours
Cook Chicken
- Remove chicken from bag and place it in a pan on medium heat; shake off excess marinade before cooking
- Be careful not to overload the pan with too much chicken or too much marinade, it will make it harder to cook chicken evenly
- Cook until an even sear is achieved
Make Dressing
- Add 1/2 a bushel of cilantro, 1 tbsp of Dan-O's Original Seasoning, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup mayo, and 1/2 cup buttermilk into blender
- De-seed a jalapeno and place in blender
- Blend until smooth
Cut Cabbage
- Cut red cabbage as thin as possible and pull apart
Serve Turmeric Ginger Chicken Dish
- Start with a bowl of cilantro lime rice
- Place a bed of shredded red cabbage over rice then place chicken
- Top chicken with avocado and dressing
