Tac-O Dip

Flavors Used:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 2 oz Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning
  • 14 oz Birria Cooking Sauce (Private Selection brand recommended)
  • 1 can Black Beans, strained
  • 12 oz Modelo Beer (or similar light beer)
  • 2 blocks Cream Cheese
  • ¼ bundle Fresh Cilantro, roughly chopped
  • ½ White Onion, diced
  • 2 cups Mexican Blend Cheese, shredded
  • 2 oz Olives, jarred and sliced
  • 1 Tomato, diced
  • 2 Fresh Jalapeños, sliced
  • Sour Cream
  • Chives/Scallions

Preparation Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess grease from the beef to ensure a cleaner taste.
  2. Season the browned beef with at least 2 oz of Dan-O’s Tac-O, thoroughly mixing to ensure the meat is evenly flavored.
  3. Add the Birria Cooking Sauce into the seasoned beef for a flavorful base.
  4. Add the strained black beans and the Modelo beer to the beef mixture, combining them well for an even distribution of flavors.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) while you prepare the dip layers.
  6. In a 13x9 inch casserole dish, spread the two blocks of cream cheese as the base layer.
  7. Evenly distribute the seasoned beef mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Sprinkle some diced white onion and roughly chopped cilantro over the beef.
  9. Cover this layer with a generous sprinkle of shredded Mexican blend cheese, ensuring it's evenly spread.
  10. Garnish with the sliced olives, diced tomato, and fresh jalapeños.
  11. Bake the assembled dip in the preheated oven for approximately 35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  12. Lastly, top your dip with some sour cream and chives.
