Ranch-Marinated New York Strip Steak

Ranch-Marinated New York Strip Steak

Flavors Used:

I came across a ranch-marinated New York strip steak recipe by TikTok cooking enthusiast Derek Wolf, but I had to put my own twist on it to make it Dan-i-fied. This dish is perfect for those who enjoy the flavor of ranch, as it adds a creamy, tangy taste that enhances the steak’s natural flavors. Plus, the acidity in ranch dressing helps tenderize the meat, resulting in a juicier and more flavorful steak, especially when marinated for an extended period.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Preem-O Seasoning
  • 1 New York strip steak
  • 2 cups ranch dressing (for marinating)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp grape seed oil

Preparation Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak: Submerge the New York strip steak in ranch dressing. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  2. After marinating, remove the steak from the ranch dressing and pat it dry to remove excess marinade.
  3. Coat both sides of the steak with Dan-O’s Preem-O Seasoning.
  4. Preheat a cast-iron pan to medium heat. Make sure the temperature does not exceed medium.
  5. Add the butter and grape seed oil to the pan. Allow them to heat up.
  6. Place the seasoned steak in the pan. Sear it for about 4-7 minutes on one side, depending on the thickness of the steak.
  7. Flip the steak multiple times to achieve a perfect sear and cook to your desired internal temperature (medium-rare is typically around 130-135°F).
  8. Rest and Serve: Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
