Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

  • 8 Jalapeños
  • 4 Strips of Bacon
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 2 Cups Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tsp. Dan-O’s Crunchy
  • 1 Tbsp. Dan-O’s Tac-O

Preparation Instructions

  1. Bring pot of water to a boil.
  2. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove ribs and sides, then boil in water for 2 minutes to soften.
  3. Dice 4 pieces of bacon and cook in a pan until crispy.
  4. Mix Dan-O’s Crunchy, Tac-O and bacon bits into cream cheese.
  5. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Prepare your breading station in three small shallow dishes. The first will contain the flour, the second the beaten egg, and the third the panko breadcrumbs.
  7. Toss jalapeños into flour, then egg wash, then panko and lay on wire rack on baking sheet.
  8. Freeze overnight.
  9. Fill pot with peanut oil and heat to 350.
  10. Deep fry poppers for 2 minutes.
  11. Let sit for 10 minutes.
