Ingredients

  • Dan-O’s SPG Tri-O (Salt, Pepper, Garlic) Seasoning to sprinkle on chicken
  • 2 cups egg noodles, cooked
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
  • 8 ounces cooked and diced ham

Cheese sauce:

  • 2 tsp Dan-O’s SPG Tri-O (Salt, Pepper, Garlic) Seasoning
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Panko Topping:

  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly coat a 9×13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. Make the Cheese Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes thick and slightly clumpy.
    Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth. Add the mustard, lemon juice, and SPG Trio seasoning.
  3. Continue to simmer for 3–5 minutes, whisking frequently, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the Swiss and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  4. Assemble the Casserole: In the prepared baking dish, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, and egg noodles. Pour the cheese sauce over the mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, mix the Panko breadcrumbs with melted butter until evenly combined. Sprinkle the mixture over the casserole.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.
