Now, I recreate that excitement at home with my go-to Breaded Chicken Wings, seasoned to perfection with Dan-O’s Spicy. These Breaded Chicken Wings are crispy, flavorful, and always a hit with friends and family, sparking the same camaraderie we felt at the games. Ingredients
For the marinade
- 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning
- 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
For the coating
- 2-3 tbsp Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning
- 2 eggs, whipped
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tbsp baking powder
For frying
- Peanut oil (enough for deep frying)
Preparation Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and Dan-O’s Spicy. Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
- Prepare the Coating: In a separate bowl, whip the eggs. In another bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and Dan-O’s Spicy.
- Coat the Chicken: Remove the marinated chicken wings from the refrigerator. Pour the whipped eggs over the chicken and toss to coat evenly. Then, transfer the coated wings to the flour mixture and toss until well-coated.
- Preheat your deep fryer with peanut oil to 375°F. Carefully place the coated chicken wings in the hot oil. Fry the wings for 12-14 minutes, depending on their size, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the wings from the fryer and drain on paper towels. Serve hot and enjoy!
