Out of This World 3 Cheese Smoked Nachos

This 3 Cheese Smoked Nachos recipe is out of this world. It is for sure, unlike any nachos you’ve ever had. In this recipe, Andrew uses Doritos as a base instead of Nachos. This adds a very tasty flair to this appetizer.

This nachos recipe uses three different types of cheeses including a Mexican Blend of shredded cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and the Nacho Cheese Doritos.

Add Some Heat

To add some spice to this meal he uses some un-pickled jalapenos, some buffalo sauce, and of course some Spicy Dan-O’s. To tone it down a little he also used some sour cream, lettuce, and guacamole. You can make some homemade guacamole, but if you want to speed up the process you can also just use some store-bought guac instead. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!


  • Nacho Cheese Doritos
  • Buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning
  • Mexican Blend Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • 1 diced Roma tomato
  • 1 diced jalapeno
  • Guacamole (store-bought or freshly made)
  • Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • Shredded lettuce

Preparation Instructions

  1. Coat the ground beef with Spicy Dan-O’s and cook in a pan until golden brown and drain.
  2. On a large baking sheet (that can be used in the smoker) Lay down a sheet of foil and lay out your chips on top. Sprinkle with some more Dan-O’s.
  3. Drizzle buffalo wing sauce onto the chips, not too heavy or your chips will get soggy, and top with ground beef and shredded cheese.
  4. Put your tray containing the nachos into a smoker at 225˚F until the cheese is fully melted
  5. Remove from the smoker and drizzle more buffalo wing sauce, nacho cheese, and remaining toppings. Enjoy!
