Ingredients

  • 1 packet Dan-O’s Dips Mexi-Ranch
  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef or chicken
  • 2 cups cotija cheese or shredded cheddar
  • 2 cans of crescent rolls
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup diced onion (optional)
  • Sour cream, salsa for dipping
  • Lime wedge (optional)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat and diced onion with Dan-O’s Tac-O seasoning and 1 tablespoon of Dan-O’s Dips Mexi-Ranch. Stir everything together until the meat is browned and packed with flavor.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese, and let it melt right into the taco meat.
  4. On a pizza stone or baking pan, lay the crescent rolls in a circle with the pointy ends facing outward, leaving a 4–6 inch hole in the center. Press the wide ends together so they form a solid ring base.
  5. Spoon the taco meat mixture around the center of the crescent ring on the wide dough section. (You may not need all the filling depending on how packed you want it.)
  6. Bring the pointy ends of the crescent rolls up and over the taco meat toward the center of the ring. Tuck them in slightly. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect—rustic is part of the charm.
  7. Brush the top of the dough with egg white so it bakes up shiny and golden.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the crescent dough is beautifully golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Use a pizza cutter to slice the ring into shareable pieces.
  10. Mix the remaining Dan-O’s Dips Mexi-Ranch with sour cream and the juice from a lime wedge for a bright, creamy dip. Serve alongside salsa for extra taco vibes.
