Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 12-15 count shrimp per pound
  • 5-7 tbsp Dan-O's Sea-Soning
  • 2 tbsp Dan-O's Crunchy
  • Peanut oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 heaping tbsp raw horseradish
  • Dash of soy sauce
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Preparation Instructions

  • Start by deshelling all of your shrimp.
  • Prepare a breading station by setting out 3 bowls:
    1. In the first bowl, add 1/2 cup of flour along with 2-3 tbsp of Dan-O's Sea-Soning.
    2. In the second bowl, place 3 eggs and add another 1-2 tbsp of Dan-O's Sea-Soning, then beat the eggs.
    3. In the third bowl, add 2 cups of panko breadcrumbs along with 2 tbsp of Dan-O's Crunchy.
  • Begin the breading process by coating each shrimp in the flour mixture, then dipping it in the egg mixture, and finally coating it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat cooking oil (preferably peanut oil) to 350ºF.
  • Once the oil reaches 350ºF, carefully place the shrimp in the oil.
  • Fry the shrimp for about 4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (times will vary based on size).

For the cocktail sauce:

  • In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of ketchup and 2 heaping tbsp of raw horseradish.
  • Add a dash of soy sauce and a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
  • Mix together until well combined.
