Dan-O’s Adobo Birria Tacos

Dan-O’s Adobo Birria Tacos

Flavors Used:

I don’t like to complicate good food, and that is why I love making Birria Tacos. We’re talking tender, shreddable beef, soaked in all that Adobo flavor, chili goodness, and savory broth. Throw it in the Instant Pot, let the magic happen, and then you crisp those tortillas right in the juices.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Dan-O’s Adob-O Seasoning
  • 2.5-3 lb chuck roast
  • 1 16-oz can red enchilada sauce
  • 2 cups unsalted beef broth
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 1 bunch Cilantro, chopped
  • Corn tortillas
  • 8 oz mozzarella or Monterey cheese

Preparation Instructions

  1. Cook the Birria: Place the chuck roast into the Instant Pot. Pour in the bottle of Dan-O’s Adob-O Seasoning. Add the enchilada sauce over the top. Add in the unsalted beef broth and 1/2 the diced onion. Stir lightly to combine everything.
  2. Close the lid and cook on High Pressure for 2.5 hours.
  3. Release pressure, open the lid, and shred the beef in the juices.
  4. Assemble & Crisp Tacos: Dip tortillas into the birria juices. Lay tortillas on a hot pan and add some cheese, shredded beef, cilantro, and diced onion to each.
  5. Fold tortillas over and cook until the bottom of the tortilla gets crispy and the cheese melts. Spoon the birria broth over the tacos while crisping.
  6. Flip and cook until both sides are crispy.
  7. Serve with extra birria broth for dipping. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!

  1. We made the Birria tacos tonight, but I didn’t use the adobo because our Walmart didn’t have it. So I ended up using spicy, taco, chipotle and Cajun. I seared the chuck roast with Primo before I put it in a slow cooker with all the other Dan-o’s seasonings. But I followed the recipe the rest of the way. It turned out fabulous. Yum Yum get you some.
