These Chicken Parmesan Sliders take everything you love about classic chicken parm and pack it into the ultimate handheld sandwich. Crispy breaded chicken, melty mozzarella, savory marinara, fresh basil, and plenty of Dan-O’s seasoning come together on soft slider buns for a crowd-pleasing meal that’s perfect for game day, parties, family dinners, or anytime you’re craving comfort food. Easy to make and loaded with cheesy Italian-inspired flavor, these sliders are guaranteed to disappear fast.

Ingredients

  • Dan-O’s Original Seasoning
  • Dan-O’s Cheesoning
  • 2-4 chicken cutlets, cut in half if you have small or slider-sized buns
  • 1.5 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 buns of your choice
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • fresh basil leaves
  • 1cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ - 1 cup cooking oil (like canola, vegetable, or peanut oil)
  • 1 tbsp milk

Preparation Instructions

  1. Start by prepping your chicken. If you're using chicken breasts, slice them in half lengthwise to create thin cutlets or pound them out to about ¼-inch thick. This helps the chicken cook evenly and keeps that crispy breading from overcooking before the chicken is done. Short on time? Grab some pre-cut chicken cutlets from the store and call it done.
  2. Mix 2 tablespoons of Dan-O's Original Seasoning into the flour and 2 tablespoons of Dan-O's Cheesoning into the breadcrumbs. Then give the chicken a light sprinkle of Dan-O's Original Seasoning.
  3. Set up your breading station with three shallow bowls. Dredge each piece of chicken in the seasoned flour, dip it into beaten egg mixed with a splash of milk, and finish with a generous coating of the seasoned breadcrumbs.
  4. Pour enough oil into a large skillet to reach about ⅛ to ¼ inch deep and heat it over medium-high heat until it's shimmering and ready to go.
  5. Carefully add the chicken to the hot oil and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the first side is beautifully golden brown and crispy. Flip it over, reduce the heat to medium, and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until the second side is just as crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a paper towel-lined rack and immediately top each piece with shredded mozzarella so it gets nice and melty.
  7. While the cheese works its magic, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan and stir in 1 tablespoon of Dan-O's Cheesoning.
  8. Now it's time to build these beauties. Place the crispy chicken on your slider buns, spoon over a generous dollop of marinara, and finish with a few fresh basil leaves.
  9. Serve them up hot, watch them disappear, and Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
