Bourbon Bacon Jam Breakfast Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2.5 Lb. Ground Beef
  • 1 Lb Bacon, Diced
  • 1 Medium Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 2 Tbsp Bourbon
  • 1/2 Cup of Bourbon Barrel Aged Beer Syrup (or Maple Syrup)
  • 2 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp. Dan-O’s Crunchy
  • 1 Tbsp. + 1 Tsp. Dan-O’s Preem-O
  • 1 Tsp. Dan-O’s SEA-soning
  • 4-8 Slices Provolone
  • 4-8 Slices American Cheese
  • 4-8 Eggs
  • Brioche Hamburgers Buns

Preparation Instructions

Bacon Jam

  • Prepare your bacon jam by slicing it into small strips and cooking it in a skillet for a few minutes until it just starts to get crispy but is not yet fully cooked. Remove the bacon strips from the skillet and set aside, leaving some grease in the pan.
  • Add the diced onion to the pan and 1 tbsp of bourbon. Cook until onions start to become translucent.
  • Add bacon back in along with 1/2 cup of beer syrup, and another 1 tbsp. Of bourbon and 1 tbsp of Dan-O’s Spicy. Cook and reduce for about 5 minutes until bacon and onions are cooked and the sauce has thickened. Remove from heat, cover in foil, and set aside while you prepare the burgers.

Burgers

  • Mix 1 tbsp. Preem-O and 1 tsp. Crunchy into the ground beef and divide into the desired number of patties.
  • Top each patty with Preem-O and SEA-soning on both sides.
  • Cook burgers on a hot grill, and top with provolone and American cheese once cooked.

Fried Eggs

  • Cook eggs to the desired doneness in a skillet.

Build Your Burgers

  • Build burgers on bones topped with mayonnaise, bacon jam and fried eggs.
