Juicy beef meatballs, seared up golden, then simmered low and slow in a sticky-savory adobo sauce that soaks into every bite. Serve it over rice, get ya some broccoli on the side, and drizzle that sauce like you mean it. Because around here, we don’t just make meatballs… we make flavor bombs.

Ingredients

Meatballs

4 tbsp Dan-O’s Adobo Seasoning
2 lbs 80/20 ground beef
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
3 eggs
1 small bundle green onions, finely diced
1 Tbsp Olive Oil - For the Pan

Adobo Sauce

1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup white vinegar
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 bay leaves
1 white onion, sliced longways

Preparation Instructions

Mix, Roll, and Pan the Meatballs: In a bowl, add ground beef, sprinkle generously with Dan-O’s Adobo Seasoning, panko, eggs, and green onions. Mix until just combined.
Roll into pool ball-sized meatballs. Place in a lightly oiled pan, spacing them apart.
Heat the pan to medium. Cook for 4 minutes, then shake and rotate.
Continue turning every 2 minutes until all sides are browned - about 10 minutes total.
Remove meatballs from the pan and briefly turn the heat off.
Carefully pour off excess grease, leaving the browned bits in the pan. Add soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, bay leaves, and sliced onions to the pan.
Turn the heat back to medium and stir until the sugar melts and everything combines.
Simmer Meatballs: Return meatballs to the pan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes on low, tossing halfway.
Thicken Sauce: Remove lid; simmer uncovered for 10 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens. Remove bay leaves.
Serve: spoon sauce over rice and veggies, add meatballs, and drizzle with more sauce. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
