Ingredients

Dan-O’s Dips French Onion
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tbsp butter
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 cup beef broth
8 slider buns
8 small slices of Swiss cheese

Preparation Instructions

First things first—preheat that oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a big bowl, drop in the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, and 1 packet of Dan-O’s Dips French Onion. Mix it up until everything’s combined. Roll that mixture into balls, then smash ’em down just a bit—slider style.
Lay ’em on the baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, until cooked through and juicy.
While those are bakin’, grab a skillet and melt some butter over medium heat. Toss in the sliced onions and stir to coat. Cook for about 5–10 minutes, stirring often, until they soften up and start turning translucent. Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon Dan-O’s Dips French Onion, drop the heat to medium-low, and let those onions slowly cook down for 15–20 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
Now pour in the beef broth and the rest of that Dan-O’s Dips French Onion packet. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes so everything comes together.
Add the meatballs right into that skillet, spoon that oniony goodness all over ’em, and let ’em simmer for another 5 minutes. In the last minute, slap a slice of cheese on top and let it melt.
