Buffalo Blue Cheese Chicken Dip

Buffalo Blue Cheese Chicken Dip

Flavors Used:

We’re taking tender, juicy chicken and loading it with bold buffalo heat, creamy goodness, and Dan-O’s Dips Ranch, then baking it into the most addictive party dip you’ll ever make: Buffalo Blue Cheese Chicken Dip. Whether it’s game day, the Big Game, family night, or a backyard hang, this dip disappears fast.

Quick tip before you start: take a minute to remove the tendons from your chicken tenders. I like using a pair of pliers and a small knife; it’s simple and totally worth it. Removing the tendons matters because they can cook up chewy and tough, and you want every bite of this dip to stay creamy and melt-in-your-mouth.

Ingredients

  • 2 packs Dan-O’s Dips Ranch (divided)
  • 2 lbs chicken tenders (de-tendoned)
  • Cooking oil spray or light oil
  • 2 lbs cooked chicken, diced into small chunks
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 container (16 oz) sour cream
  • 1 cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 1 lb shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 4 oz crumbled blue cheese (for topping, optional but recommended)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Prep & Season the Chicken:  Remove tendons from chicken tenders. Lay tenders on a baking sheet. Sprinkle about ½ pack Dan-O’s Dips Ranch over chicken.
  2. Bake the Chicken: Lightly oil or spray pan if needed. Bake at 400°F for 18–22 minutes, until fully cooked. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  3. Chop the Chicken: Dice cooled chicken into small, bite-size chunks ( not shredded, but chunky for texture).
  4. Mix the Dip Base: In a large bowl combine the diced chicken, softened cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo hot sauce, ½ lb shredded cheddar cheese, and the remaining half of the Dan-O’s Dips Ranch packet plus 1 more packet of Dan-O’s Dips Ranch. Mix thoroughly, breaking down any cream cheese lumps until smooth and creamy.
  5. Assemble the Dip: Transfer mixture into a 9x13 baking dish and smooth evenly. Top with remaining ½ lb shredded cheddar cheese
  6. Bake at 425°F for 20–25 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and melted
  7. Remove from oven: Sprinkle 4 oz crumbled blue cheese over the top. Let it melt slightly before serving. Serve with carrots, celery, chips, or spread it on toasted baguette slices, then Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
