They might not be much to look at, but once you try these fresh, pan-grilled garlic green beans, you’ll never want them any other way! For this recipe, all you need are some fresh green beans from your grocery or market, Dan-O’s Seasoning, water, oil, garlic, and onion.
So for the green beans, you want to get nice, even-sized beans. Your beans are best when they aren’t bulging out, which usually means they were grown too long. I like to use about 2 cloves of garlic per half pound of beans, and just one slice of red onion.
This recipe using a number of cooking techniques, such as steaming, and sauteing, but if you follow along you’ll have no issues! I do think that the original Dan-O’s Seasoning is the perfect blend for this recipe, as it has a lovely amount of sea salt, herbs, and citrus. You can use the spicy, but I’d add a few pepper flakes instead if it were me.
Serve your green beans with a starch and your protein of choice. Enjoy!
