Dan-O’s Hosts Cornhole Tournament with “Big Time Bob”

Campbellsburg, KY – Last month, Dan-O’s Seasoning hosted an employee gathering that included professional cornhole playing and the biggest burger its team had ever seen. It turned out to be a Dantastic time filled with good food, friends, and world-class bag tossing.

The event was graced by Dan-O’s Seasoning’s professional cornhole thrower, Bob Vonch (Big Time Bob), who is local to Madison, IN. Bob is a frequent visitor of Louisvillie, KY and a bit of a local legend. And while the Dan-O’s team has some solid throwers, the team clearly had their hands full with Bob.

At the end of the tournament, Bob faced off with Ricky, a member of the extended Dan-O’s family that had faced Bob in tournaments past. The other two facing off were Dorothy, VP of accounting for Dan-O’s Seasoning, and account manager, Andrew Tutt. In the end, Bob and Tutt were victorious, which came as no surprise.

GIANT CHEESEBURGER TIME

While the cornhole action was going on, Dan-O was busy making the biggest cheeseburger anyone at the event had seen. It was large enough to feed the entire event, and required a pizza peel and baking sheet to even flip it.

The burger consisted of an 8 lb brisket, trimmed, and 2 lbs of sirloin that Dan-O ground up fresh at the event. It, of course, featured several squeezes of Dan-O’s Seasoning and all your traditional burger fixins. It was so large, it needed a custom bun made, which was crafted by Heitzman bakery in Louisville, KY.

And while there were a few mishaps during the making of the burger (as seen in the video) Dan-O does have plans to try it again, and it was still Dan-Good. But, with all things considered, the Big Time Burger with Big Time Bob was indeed a success!

As the cookout and cornhole tournament winded down, Bob and the Dan-O’s team eventually enjoyed some R&R. This included visiting with CEO Phil’s farm animals, hiking around his mini farm, and bringing out the recreational vehicles. The perfect end to a work week on a beautiful July day.
