Make it for dinner or divide it up into meal-prep containers for later. It’s simple, loaded with flavor, and absolutely Dan-Good!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ
  • 1¼ lb lean ground beef
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • ½ tbsp gochujang
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 dash white wine vinegar
  • ½ tbsp mirin
  • 1/8 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ cup basmati rice, uncooked
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 oz snow peas

Preparation Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks, until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Make the Korean-Inspired BBQ Sauce: While the beef cooks, add the minced garlic and chopped green onions to a bowl. Add the gochujang, soy sauce, white wine vinegar, mirin, sesame oil, and Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ. Stir until everything is well combined and forms a sauce.
  3. Add the Sauce and Rice: Pour the Korean-inspired BBQ sauce into the cooked ground beef and stir until the beef is evenly coated. Add the basmati rice and water, then stir until the rice is evenly distributed throughout the beef mixture.
  4. Add the Snow Peas: Arrange the snow peas evenly over the top of the beef and rice mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and increase the heat as needed to bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Simmer: Once the mixture reaches a boil, keep the skillet covered and reduce the heat to low. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid.
  6. Serve: Remove the skillet from the heat and divide the Korean Pop BBQ Beef and Rice among four bowls or meal-prep containers. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
