Korean BBQ Chicken Wings

Korean BBQ Chicken Wings

These Korean Pop BBQ Chicken Wings are bringing some serious flavor to the grill! We're keeping it simple with just chicken wings and Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ. No oil, no binders, and no sauce needed! This Korean-inspired BBQ seasoning combines brown sugar, savory soy, garlic, ginger, and a little kick of Korean chili pepper for a sweet, savory, umami-packed flavor. As the wings grill, the seasoning caramelizes into a sticky, sauce-like crust that's loaded with flavor. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and absolutely Dan-Good! Let's make these wings pop!

Flavors Used:

Ingredients

  • ⅜ cup (6 tbsp) Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ, divided
  • 5 lbs whole chicken wings

Let’s Make It!

  • Prepare the Chicken Wings: Place the whole chicken wings on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, cut through the joints to separate each wing into drumettes, flats, and tips. Let the knife follow the natural joint rather than cutting through the bone. Discard the wing tips or reserve them for another use.
  • Season the Wings: Generously coat the chicken wings on all sides with ¼ cup of Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ, making sure each piece is evenly seasoned. No oil or binder is needed.
  • Preheat the Grill: Preheat the grill to approximately 400°F, then reduce the burners to low heat before adding the wings.
  • Grill the Wings: Place the seasoned wings directly on the grill grates. Cook over low heat for approximately 5 minutes, then flip. Continue grilling, turning occasionally, and increase the heat to medium as needed. Sprinkle the remaining 2 tbsp of Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ over the wings as they cook. Grill for approximately 25 minutes total, until the wings develop a caramelized, sauce-like crust and reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Finish the Wings: Turn off the grill and let the wings sit briefly in the residual heat before removing.
  • Serve: Remove the wings from the grill and Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
