Ingredients

  • Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Mild or Spicy
  • 16 ounces refried beans
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature and cut into smaller squares
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican Cheese Blend, divided
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tbsp diced jalapeño (optional)
  • juice of half a lime
  • tortilla chips for serving

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly coat a pie plate or 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken generously with Dan-O's Tac-O Seasoning (Mild or Spicy—your call!) and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Shred or chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a medium skillet over medium-low heat, combine the refried beans with ¼ cup water. Add the cubed cream cheese and stir until everything is smooth, creamy, and fully melted.
  4. Sprinkle in Dan-O's Tac-O Seasoning and stir until it's evenly mixed throughout the bean mixture.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and fold in 1 cup of the shredded Mexican cheese, the jalapeños, sour cream, lime juice, and the cooked chicken. Mix until everything is creamy, cheesy, and packed with bold taco flavor.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Top with another generous handful of shredded Mexican cheese.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the cheese is lightly golden.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro if desired, then serve immediately with plenty of tortilla chips for scooping. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
