One Pot Lasagna Soup

One Pot Lasagna Soup

Flavors Used:

Love lasagna but hate making it? Then you’re gonna love this one pot lasagna soup! This tastes just like a normal lasagna with the savory flair from the Bolognese sauce to the rich creaminess of the ricotta mixture.

Dan-O’s balances the experience with 3 of our signature blends: Original adds some savory flair, while Spicy adds a little kick to tickle your tastebuds, and Cheesoning® gives you a taste of Italy with a cheesy twist! This recipe is great because you only need one pot, which makes for a quick clean-up and it makes a big batch! If you’ve got a big family, or just like meal prepping, then this is a great choice.

Pair this Dantastic® lasagna soup with some pull-apart garlic bread! Now that’s some Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®

Ingredients

  • Dan-O’s Original Seasoning
  • Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning
  • Dan-O’s Cheesoning® Seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 white onion
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves
  • 48 oz chicken broth
  • 32 oz jar of marinara
  • 15 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 pinches of sugar
  • 10 lasagna noodles
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven or large pot, brown the beef and sausage, drain fat, remove and set aside.
  2. Add chopped onion, basil, and garlic to pot, cook over medium heat for 1 minute (until translucent).
  3. Add a small amount of chicken stock to prevent the garlic from burning, simmer 1 minute.
  4. Add the meat back in along with the marinara, remaining chicken stock, crushed tomatoes, sugar, balsamic vinegar, and Dan-O’s Original & Spicy. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Break lasagna noodles into 2 inch pieces and add to the pot along with whipping cream.
  6. Simmer for 40 minutes.
  7. In another bowl mix together ricotta, mozzarella, & Dan-O’s Cheesoning® Seasoning.
  8. Serve in a bowl and top with ricotta mixture, enjoy!

  1. I am new to using Dan O’s seasonings and have made a few recipes but this Lasagna Soup is SOOOO Good! Just became a family favorite! Keep doing what you’re doing Dan! ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Love all the spices!!!

  2. Do you think to cut carbs I can do cauliflower rice ? Dan-O you are amazing 🤩, didn’t know you shared your recipe in your link. Thanks for keeping us all phat and happy through food!!!

  3. I absolutely love this recipe! The only thing I did different is I did the broken lasagna noodles in boiling chicken stock, and then rinsed them with cold water, to keep them aldente. I know it’s basically a “ sin” to treat pasta like that!😂 But it keeps the pasta firm after reheating.
