Turkey Burgers and Sweet Potatoes

Flavors Used:

My friends, sometimes you just need some meat and potatoes, and this is how you make meal prep taste Dan-Good! These turkey burgers are loaded with mild cheddar, salty Kalamata olives, fresh cilantro, and Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Mild to give that lean turkey plenty of bold flavor. Pair them with roasted sweet potatoes seasoned the Dan-O’s way, and you’ve got an easy, flavorful meal-prep dinner that proves turkey burgers don’t have to be dry or boring.

Ingredients

  • 1 Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Mild, divided
  • 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Chili Lime Seasoning
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 6–7 cilantro stems, diced
  • 1 cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives, sliced
  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper for the turkey burgers. Prepare an additional baking pan for the sweet potatoes, if needed.
  2. Make the Turkey Burger Mixture: Add the ground turkey to a large bowl. Add the diced cilantro, including the stems, shredded mild cheddar cheese, and sliced Kalamata olives. Add approximately ¾ of the Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Mild. Mix everything together until evenly combined.
  3. Form the Turkey Burgers: Divide the turkey mixture into 3 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty. Arrange the patties on the parchment-lined baking pan.
  4. Season the Sweet Potatoes: Place the peeled and diced sweet potatoes in a bowl. Drizzle with the olive oil and toss to lightly coat. Add the remaining Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet - Mild and the Dan-O’s Chili Lime Seasoning. Toss until the sweet potatoes are evenly coated.
  5. Arrange the Sweet Potatoes: Transfer the seasoned sweet potatoes to a baking pan and spread them into an even layer.
  6. Bake: Bake the turkey burgers and sweet potatoes at 400°F for 25 minutes. If you prefer the sweet potatoes more well-done, continue cooking them for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Portion and Serve: Divide the turkey burgers and roasted sweet potatoes among meal-prep containers or serve hot right away. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
