Dan-O’s gives thanks to the Louisville community through Turkey Stock 2022!

Louisville, KY – This past Thanksgiving, Dan-O’s gave thanks to the community by donating to the 2022 Turkey Stock! Turkey Stock was started in 2014 by Jason Brown, and Joey Wagner after Joey’s sister in-law saw a news story on WDRB about Thanksgiving meal shortages in West Louisville.  The initial idea was to try and get 100 Turkeys in a day and work with Kentucky Harvest to donate to families in need.

In the event’s first year, they got over 500 turkeys! They were blown away with the donations, and how it went viral on social media. Every year, the donations of turkeys got bigger and bigger. This year’s Turkey Stock had a goal of 2,500 turkeys through online donations and actual turkey donations. They surpassed that goal with 2,573 turkeys donated.

Dan-O’s got involved by donating $1,000 towards the purchase of turkeys, and giving 1,000 bottles of Dan-O’s seasoning.  “I am thankful for our partnership with Dan O’s Seasoning this year on Turkey Stock. 1,000 people who donated or received a turkey got a bottle of Dan O’s which is awesome.” Joey Wagner, co-creator of Turkey Stock and owner of the J Wagner Group, shared. “Dan O has become a great friend over the years and to see what he has done with his brand and how he gives back to the community is special. I am looking forward to making our 10th Annual Turkey Stock next year the biggest ever.”

Dan Oliver, the founder of Dan-O’s Seasoning, had this to say “I’m always looking for ways to give back to the community. That’s why it’s always a pleasure to be able to participate in Joey’s Turkey Stock, and help give back to those in need this Thanksgiving.” When asked about next year’s goal for Turkey Stock, Wagner said they’re aiming for 3,000 turkeys donated.
