  • 1 pound spicy breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 ½ cups baking mix
  • 1 teaspoon Dan-O's Spicy

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Mixing: In a large bowl, combine the spicy breakfast sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, baking mix, and the Spicy Dan-O’s. Dive in with your hands to ensure a thorough mix, integrating all the flavors.
  3. Forming Balls: With a small cookie scoop or your hands, shape the mixture into 1-inch thick balls. Arrange these balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each for even cooking.
  4. Baking: Slide the tray into the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. You're looking for a golden-brown color, indicating a crispy outside with a fully cooked, juicy interior.
  5. Draining: After baking, transfer the sausage balls to a paper towel-lined plate. Gently pat them to remove excess grease, keeping them light and appetizing.
