Flavors Used:

These sliders by Cassie Istook (@cassistook) are a true delight for the taste buds, perfectly blending the sweet, savory, and slightly tangy flavors that make them irresistible. The Hawaiian Rolls offer a subtle sweetness that pairs wonderfully with the savory ham and the creamy, melted provolone cheese. Sliders originated as a convenient party snack, but have evolved into a holiday favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 ounces of ham
  • 8 ounces of provolone cheese
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Dan-O’s Original Seasoning

Preparation Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C), setting the stage for perfectly baked sliders.
  2. Take a pack of Hawaiian rolls and carefully slice off the top. Place the bottom part in a foil-lined casserole dish, creating a sturdy base for your sliders.
  3. On the bottom buns, stack 8 ounces of ham followed by 8 ounces of provolone cheese, ensuring an even distribution for maximum flavor in every bite.
  4. Gently place the top buns over the cheese, sealing in the delicious fillings.
  5. Make the Sauce: In a saucepan, melt a stick of butter. Mix in 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown mustard, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Add a generous amount of Dan-O’s Original Seasoning for that signature flavor, stirring until everything is well combined.
  6.  Evenly pour the sauce over the sandwiches, making sure to cover every nook and cranny. For an extra flavor kick, sprinkle on more Dan-O's Seasoning.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  8. Remove the cover and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes. This step ensures the sandwiches turn golden brown and the cheese melts perfectly.

  2. I love that recipe on Hawaiian bun in ham and swiss cheese! Especially with Dino’s seasoning for sure!! It’s kind of expensive but it’s worth it!;)
