Originating from the Mediterranean, where dates have been a staple for centuries, this recipe combines traditional ingredients in an innovative way. The addition of bacon, a popular Western ingredient, with the exotic taste of Medjool dates and goat cheese, reflects a Dantastic fusion of cultures.


  • 6-8 slices of bacon
  • 6-8 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese or goat cheese
  • Dan-O's Chipotle
  • Dan-O's Spicy
  • Honey (for drizzling)
  • Parsley (for garnish)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bacon: Lay out the bacon slices on a sheet. Sprinkle one side with Dan-O's Chipotle for a smoky flavor. Flip the bacon and season the other side with Dan-O's Spicy for added heat.
  2. Prepare the Dates: Mix cream cheese or goat cheese with a seasoning of your choice for extra flavor. Carefully split each date and stuff it with the cheese mixture.
  3. Wrap the Dates: Wrap each cheese-stuffed date tightly with a seasoned bacon slice.
  4. Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the bacon-wrapped dates on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and drizzle honey over the dates for a sweet touch. Garnish with parsley before serving.
