Ranch Carrots Two Different Ways

Alright, we’ve got an easy peasy snack recipe for Ranch Carrots for you today. Obviously, there’s not a lot to say about Ranch Carrots as a snack, but there is something to say about Ranch Glazed Carrots!

It’s the remix to this recipe, hot and fresh out the kitchen, mama rollin’ them carrots got every man in here wishin’

Sorry in advance, but these ranch-glazed carrots don’t have a companion Tik-Tok as I’m a writer and not a video person, but they’re still super easy to make. There are two key differences between my and Brad’s recipes. Number one is that we’re boiling the carrots for a little bit to get them crispy but tender on the inside. Number two is that we’re going to create a brown sugar seasoning glaze and cook our boiled carrots in them to give them a nice caramelized texture and flavor. I used Dan-O’s Original, about 1.5 tbsp, but this is a really to your own taste thing. Start with less in the glaze, and taste, and add more if needed! No matter which recipe you choose to make, you’re sure to enjoy these tasty Ranch Carrots.

Ingredients

For Brad’s Snack Ranch Carrots:

  • Carrots
  • Dan-O’s Seasoning, of your choice!
  • Ranch Seasoning Packet

For The Writer’s Ranch Glazed Carrots:

  • 2 lbs fresh carrots, either chopped up big ones or just baby carrots
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • ⅓ cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 packet of Ranch seasoning or 3 tbsp
  • Dan-O’s Original Seasoning
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Preparation Instructions

For Brad’s Snack Ranch Carrots:

  1. Take a bag of Carrots and place it in a large bowl.
  2. Take the Ranch Packet, and coat the carrots. Mix them up in the bowl and then coat heavily with Dan-O’s Seasoning of your choice.
  3. Mix up again
  4. Enjoy.

For the Writer’s Side Ranch Carrots:

  1. If you’re using big carrots, chop them up into bite sized pieces. If you’re using a baby, keep as is.
  2. Place the carrots in a saucepan, and barely cover them with water. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or until crispy yet tender. Drain and set aside
  3. In the now-empty saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, and Ranch, and Dan-O’s seasoning until blended.
  4. Add the carrots, and cook, stirring occasionally to fully coat the carrots. Roughly 5 minutes.
  5. Remove and serve with fresh parsley if you so desire
  6. Enjoy!
