Pineapple, veggie and steak kebabs - Cooling down

Description

Sirloin and pineapple go so well together I thought I’d make a kabob with some veggies! You can use whatever veggies you like, but these all grill very nicely and the flavors go well together.

This will make at least 8 skewers, probably more depending on how many pieces you add to each!

Ingredients

  • sirlion steak
  • pineapple
  • bell peppers
  • red onion
  • mushrooms
  • 2 tbs lime juice
  • grated ginger
  • 1 tbs spicy Dan-O’s
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • kabob skewers

Prep Time

15 mins + 1hr marinating

Cook Time

10 Mins

Serving Size

8+ skewers

Instructions

  1. Add lime juice, grated ginger and spicy Dan-O’s to a plastic sandwich bag to make a marinade
  2. Cut sirloin into cubes, add to bag and close bag then squish around to coat meat with marinade
  3. Sit bag in fridge to marinate for 1 hour
  4. Preheat your grill to medium
  5. Cut pineapple, bell peppers, onion and mushrooms into large cubes (big enough that a skewer won’t break them), set pineapple aside (you don’t need to season pineapple unless you want to)
  6. Mix veggies with olive oil and salt, pepper and garlic powder (or Dan-O’s!)
  7. Add alternating pieces of sirloin, pineapple and veggies to skewers
  8. Cook on grill for 4-5 minutes, flip and cook another 4-5 minutes or until desired char on your veggies
