KFC Chicken Littles Copycat Recipe

KFC Chicken Littles Copycat Recipe

Flavors Used:

If KFC won’t bring the chicken little back, then we’ll make our Dan KFC chicken littles! These are a Dantastic copycat of KFC’s famous chicken littles but with a Dan-O’s twist! We make crispy buttermilk fried chicken with Dan-O's original, and then top them on a soft and sweet King’s Hawaiian roll with a generous serving of mayo and some crispy dill pickles. If you ask us, this gives the original KFC chicken littles a run for the money. You’ll want to cut the chicken into 3rds to get the most bang for your buck, but this just means more chicken littles! They’re perfect for meal preps, a quick dinner, or as part of a party spread.

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 4 cups buttermilk
  • Self rising flour
  • Dan-O’s Original Seasoning
  • Peanut oil
  • Mayo
  • Pickles
  • 4 dinner rolls (King’s Hawaiian)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Filet a chicken breast in half.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap and pound flat.
  3. Make a dredge and add chicken to flour and buttermilk.
  4. Add peanut oil to a pan and heat to 350° F.
  5. Cook chicken on both sides until golden brown and an internal of 165° F, about 12 minutes.
