Louisville, KY – Tis the season of giving, and the Dan fam is giving back big this year with the help of Frankie’s Family 7th Annual Angel Tree Adoption! Dan-O’s Seasoning selected Frankie’s Family as the local charity to support this holiday season, and had the whole team bring toys, coats, and senior citizen gifts to donate to the cause.
Frankie’s Family is a non-profit organization that began in 2016 by Dan Oliver’s close high school friend, Frankie Hilbert. Originally, Frankie wanted to give back through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Adoption Program. He started working with friends and family to raise money and help adopt as many kids as they possibly could. They started with a goal of $1,500 in effort to adopt 15 angels but in 10 days, he ended up raising $4,500 and adopting 45 angels.
Every year since, Frankie’s Family has upped the ante. Since they started, they’ve helped raise over $200,000 and adopted over 2,000 Angels! The Dan fam donated over $2,000 in gifts. “I’ve known Frankie for years, and I don’t think I have to tell you how big his heart is when you can see it in his work. I’m so happy that me and Dan fam are able to chip in and support Frankie’s Family this year, and help make a difference to so many in need. I always talk about that Yum Yum Get Ya Sum but sometimes it’s about that Yum Yum Give Ya Sum too.” Dan Oliver, the founder of Dan-O’s, shared.
Eli Glancy, an employee at Dan-O’s spoke to the team’s passion for the project. “Everyone at Dan-O’s was really excited to support such an impactful organization like Frankie’s Family. We are all very fortunate this holiday season and making small contributions like this one is the least we could do to help families in need in our community to help spread Christmas cheer.” This year Frankie’s Family has a goal to raise $55,000, and at the time of writing they’ve raised $41,850.
